| Position Description: | Responsible for providing a safe and secure environment within a maximum security facility. Supervises residents in all activities and provides general counseling to assist residents in getting along with others. This position performs security checks and shakedown searches of both the physical building and the residents to ensure the safety of the facility. |
| Minimum Requirements: | Applicants must possess a High school diploma or equivalent, and 30 credit hours of college. Two years of experience in a child caring institution may be substituted for college credit. Works in a maximum security detention facility and regularly must deal with aggressive, irate, and sometimes irrational residents. Occasionally must use physical restraint techniques for disturbed residents. The facility is staffed 24/7 so applicants must be able and willing to work various shifts, including third shift. |
