| Position Description: | Works in non-clinical teen health centers in middle schools in the Intermediate School District. Time will be spent in the schools conducting student assessments, developing plans of care, and evaluating progress. Includes time conducting outreach services and providing group health educational presentations for students, parents, and school personnel. Requires all aspects of program development not limited to developing assessment tools, forms, and legal requirements (consents) for parents/students. Data collection and evaluation is required and ongoing. Involves attendance and presentation at advisory council meetings and close collaboration with other school nurses. |
| Minimum Requirements: | Diploma, Associates Degree in Nursing. Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Must have strong computer skills including word processing, data base management, ability to create forms, pamphlets etc. Ability to self-direct the start up of services/programs under general guidance of supervision. Ability to communicate with individuals from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds. Must be in possession of a current Michigan Nursing license. |
