Meeting Times
Canvassers meet for canvassing the succeeding day of August Primary and November General at 1:00 p.m. and within 5 days for other elections at 11:00 a.m. Meetings held at County Clerk's Office, Saginaw County Governmental Center.
Description
Composed of four members, two from each political party. The County Committee of each political party, not later than September 1.....of each odd numbered years... shall submit to the county clerk the names of three persons for each position to which the party is entitled. The board of supervisors, within ten days after convening for their annual meeting, shall elect by signed ballot to each position one of the three persons nominated for the position, and the board thereupon shall appoint the person to the position. Nominations by Board members and write-in votes are not permitted.
The Canvassers canvass the returns of votes cast all elections conducted in Saginaw County and such canvass shall be concluded at the earliest possible time and in every case within 14 days.
