The Saginaw County Information Systems & Services Department is responsible
for providing all forms of technical support to county departments in
the areas of information technology. The services provided by
the department include:
- Application development and maintenance on:
- IBM Z-series mainframe system, running the VSE/ESA OS
- IBM I-series Midrange system
- Intel Network Server systems
- Systems and network administration (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
and Professionals)
- End-user Support:
- Equipment acquisition, initial setup, and on-going support
- Workstation application training and troubleshooting
- Data management and recovery assistance
- Network equipment configuration/maintenance performed by personnel educated in, and familiar with the equipment
- Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Security Administration
- Inventory assessment and management
- Consulting, planning and implementation
- Development and support of the county's internet/intranet sites
- E-mail support and services
- Forms design, generation and automation
