The Saginaw County Information Systems & Services Department is responsible for providing all forms of technical support to county departments in the areas of information technology. The services provided by the department include:

  • IBM Z-series mainframe system, running the VSE/ESA OS
  • IBM I-series Midrange system
  • Intel Network Server systems
• Systems and network administration (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Professionals)
• End-user Support:
  • Equipment acquisition, initial setup, and on-going support
  • Workstation application training and troubleshooting
  • Data management and recovery assistance
• Network equipment configuration/maintenance performed by personnel educated in, and familiar with the equipment
• Backup and Disaster Recovery
• Security Administration
• Inventory assessment and management
• Consulting, planning and implementation
• Development and support of the county's internet/intranet sites
• E-mail support and services
• Forms design, generation and automation
