Intro to Geocaching
Price Nature Center;
What is geocaching? It;s a high tech treasure hunt. Using GPS devices, we will locate trinkets and treasures hidden in the woods. GPS will be provided to those that pre-register.

Anyone could find themselves in an emergency situation: even the most basic knowledge could mean the difference between life and death. Come and learn about the basics of what to pack in your Bug Out Bag!

Unable to get out and traverse the trail? No worries! Saginaw County Parks staff and volunteers are giving you an opportunity to see the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail via golf cart. We will provide the carts and drivers. Pre-registration is required! Please call 989-790-5280 to register

The Grand Experience

The Mackinac Island Grand Experience is a unique opportunity to stay at one of the finest and most historic hotel properties in America. Native American Uses of Natural Resources

Join Chippewa Nature Center's Dennis Pilaske to explore how Native Americans used local plants and animals to thrive in their environment. During the program, visitors can try their hands at a couple traditional skills like fire by friction and cordage making.

Butman Fish Library
Come see a biologist show a collection of exotic critters. Get up close and personal with some living creatures. Come to either show for a great time. Space is limited so make sure to arrive early.

DECEMBER

New York City Trip

$160.00 per person includes:

  • Round Trip Non-Smoking Motorcoach
  • Snacks along the route
  • Participants will leave Friday, December 6th at 7:00 pm (from Meijer on Tittabawassee Road) and be able to sleep on the bus during the trip to New York City. When you wake up Saturday morning at 8:30 am, you will be in New York City. Saturday night participants meet back at the drop off location at 8:30 pm and have the opportunity to sleep on the bus on the way back home. We will arrive back in Saginaw around 10:30 am on Sunday, December 8th.
  • There is no overnight hotel stay on this trip.
  • Trip needs 40 participants in order to operate.
  • Participants must be 18 or older or accompanied by a parent in order to participate.
