| Position Description: | Assesses nutritional status and assigns food package of clients in the WIC Program. Develops at risk and high risk nutrition care plans and provides at risk and high risk dietary counseling. Provides nutrition education, refers clients to other community programs. Works with other health care professionals. Works as backup clerical/technical support as needed. Works outlying clinics. |
| Minimum Requirements: | Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Nutrition and completion of internship or equivalent and be a Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian eligible within six months of hire. Experience in prenatal, infant, and child nutrition counseling. Ability to work in fast paced clinic setting. Ability to interact and work with adults, infants, and children; as well as the public in a pleasant manner. Ability to drive personal automobile with a valid Michigan Driver's License and good driving record. |
