| Position Description: | Under the general supervision of the Nutrition Program Manager, assists at various senior centers, meal program sites and scratch kitchen(s) in senior nutrition program duties and the delivery of services. Prepares food items as assigned; keeps utensils, equipment and kitchen clean and sanitary; washes dishes, pots and pans; portions, packages and labels congregate and home delivered meals. Assists in the home delivered meal program and meal delivery. Assists in serving of meals and related clean-up activities. Assists center manager with center activities. Must be available to work weekend and evening shifts for the nutrition program. |
| Minimum Requirements: | High school graduation or equivalent with courses in home economics, food preparation, or related subjects. Experience in food service and preparation is desirable. Knowledge of food service, food quality, measurements, math and sanitation. Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions. Ability to communicate with people from all social/economic and cultural backgrounds. Ability to drive vehicle with valid Michigan Drivers License and good driving record. |
