Position Description: Performs detailed program designs, coding, testing, analyzing, training, documentation, and implementation of governmental information systems. Work with users with varied computer skill levels to determine the needs and requirements of individual systems. Provide technical assistance to users in the form of advice, problem resolution, and training.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related discipline with at least two years professional experience in programming. Knowledge of Visual Basic, VB.net, Java, and ASP preferred. Familiar with relational databases and SQL preferred. Knowledge of IBM VSE computer systems including COBOL, CICS, and related software a plus. Ability to use keyboard and communicate effectively. Ability to prepare, read and proofread documents. Ability to drive personal automobile, possess valid Michigan Drivers License and have a good driving record. Ability to make sound decisions, solve difficult problems, analyze complex data, plan and implement programs, and use judgment in varied situations.
