| Position Description: | The Senior Center Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of activities for a senior citizen center and transportation of senior center participants to and from the center. Activities of the center are geared to meet the specific needs and interests of older adults and may include planning, coordinating and implementing of a wide variety of social, educational, nutritional and recreational programs. |
| Minimum Requirements: | High school diploma or equivalent. Formal or specialized training in gerontology and/or human services is highly desired. Must meet State of Michigan requirements for transporting passengers and have a current Chauffeur's License for passenger transit if required to transport seniors. Must have a valid Michigan driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation. At least one year experience in working with people; preferably senior citizens. |
