The Saginaw County Metropolitan Planning Commission serves as the Policy Body for transportation planning activities conducted by SMATS, the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The SCMPC also serves to support and advise the planning efforts conducted by the cities, villages and townships in the county.

Proposed Amendments of the 2040 Metropolitan Transportation Plan
Several amendments of the 2040 Metropolitan Transportation Plan have been requested. Comments on the amendments are encouraged and should be sent to the Planning Department by April 16, 2013.
