Boating Safety Class Schedule
State
law requires children under the age of 12 years to be accompanied
by a person 16 years or older when operating a boat with a 6-horsepower
motor or larger. Youngsters between 12 and 16 must be accompanied
by a person 16 years of age or older when operating a boat with
a 6-horsepower motor or larger or have in their possession a
Boating Safety Certificate. Personal water craft may not be
operated by an individual born after December 31, 1979 unless
they have
received a Boating Safety Certificate. Upon successful completion
of the course students will receive a Boating Safety Certificate.
The classes are free to the students. Parents and other adults
may attend the classes.
