MARRIAGES

The 70th District Court Judges and Magistrate perform marriage ceremonies upon request. Anyone who wishes to be married at the 70th District Court will need to call ahead for an appointment. Days and times available for marriage ceremonies vary according to each court's schedule. All required marriage documents from the County Clerk office and two witnesses must be present before the ceremony is performed. There is a $10.00 fee for the service

Three requirements you must bring with you for marriage ceremony:

  • A valid state of Michigan Marriage License
  • Two witnesses. There is no age specification for witnesses. A witness must be old enough to sign their name and understand what they have witnessed and signed. (Please note: the court does not provide witnesses.)
  • A $10.00 fee.
