Lieutenant Lounsbury has been employed with the Saginaw County Sheriff's Office since 1993.
She started her career as a corrections officer in the Saginaw County Jail.
In 1995, Lieutenant Lounsbury was promoted to the Law Enforcement Division as a patrol deputy.
In 1997 she was promoted to the detective bureau and work in the Saginaw County Metro Narcotics Unit,
BAYANET, and Saginaw County Narcotics. She also worked general investigations in the Saginaw County Detective Bureau.
In
2005, Lieutenant Lounsbury was promoted to Sergeant, where she supervised uniformed patrol deputies.
She was later transferred to the Detective Bureau, where she supervised the Investigative Division.
In 2008, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, where she oversees the Law Enforcement Division.
Lieutenant
Lounsbury attended Saginaw Valley State University and Delta College, where she earned an Associate
in Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice. She attended the Northeastern Police Academy in 1993.
Lieutenant
Lounsbury is a member of the Deputy Sheriff's Association and the Saginaw County Law Enforcement
Association-Board Secretary.
The
Law Enforcement Division of the Saginaw County Sheriff's Office provides the citizens of Saginaw
County with response and investigative follow up as well as preventative patrols 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
for the purpose of creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all people within Saginaw County.

In
2006, the Saginaw County Sheriff's Office moved from white patrol
vehicles to black. Black cruisers are highly visible and distinctive
and identifiable as Sheriff's vehicles.
