Prosecuting Attorney

Saginaw County Prosecuting Attorney John McColgan has served as the county’s chief law enforcement officer since 2013. McColgan and his assistant prosecutors represent the people of the state of Michigan by reviewing criminal complaints from police and citizens, authorizing criminal charges against suspects, and prosecuting criminals in District Court and Circuit Court.

McColgan’s office also provides a variety of other services, including ensuring the rights of victims, seeking sanctions for violations of personal protection orders, and securing child support and medical coverage for every child in Saginaw County.
