What does the MPO do?

The Saginaw Metropolitan Area Transportion Study (Metropolitan Planning Organization) plans for and distributes federal transportation funds for highways, transit, bikeways, trails, and sidewalks to move people and goods in Saginaw County. Established in 1967, the MPO has grown to include more than 31 members representing cities, towns, counties, and other transportation agencies throughout Saginaw County.
