District Court Administration

The 70th District Court personnel are supervised by Linda L. James, Court Administrator. The Court Administrator maintains the administration of the Criminal Division, Civil Division, Traffic Division, Probation Department and the Magistrate. She is responsible for administering the policies and procedures of the Court as set by the District Court Judges. To contact her office, call (989) 790-5596.

Credit Cards

The 70th District Court accepts MasterCard, VISA and Discover for fines and costs for Traffic & Criminal cases; and filing fees for processing Civil, Small Claims and Landlord Tenant/summary Proceeding matters. Personal checks are no longer acceptedLearn more about payment information. 

Mediation

Mediation information may be obtained online by visiting the website for the Office of Dispute Resolution which coordinates alternative dispute resolution services within the State Court Administrator's Office. 

Holidays

The 70th District Court is closed on state holidays.
